It's not perfect, but it was the first go-'round. I saw Hello Kitty phones on eBay, but none would work with my company (Verizon). So, I decided to customize a faceplate so I had my own Hello Kitty phone!
My phone is a Verizon Blitz. It's very square/squat, making this look okay. For longer phones, I don't think it would work...
I used Sculpy clay for the ears (which was a pain to mold, remove, bake, and then hope they worked). I super-glued them on and painted the whole thing white with fast-dry indoor/outdoor spray paint. Bow is just tied ribbon, I attached with super glue and put a tiny bit on the ends and under the not to hold it in place and prevent fraying. Whiskers are drawn with permanent marker, nothing fancy. Face is just a picture of Hello Kitty's face as my background--reminds me of Tamagotchis (LOVE!) and other digital pets, he he~!
I know the bow is on the "wrong side" for Hello Kitty. I like the right ear better, so I covered the left. The seam is still noticeable, but less on the right ear.
I used a plain/clear case and painted it. The ears were sculpted with Sculpey and glued on. It was a while ago now and I admit it could have been done better. xD
"ENGAGE!"
any tips on how to make one like this?
Thats adorable :3
